RULE OUT PROBLEMS SAFELY

Check common laundry problems step by step

A disappointing wash result does not always have one cause. Load size, cycle, temperature, dosage, water hardness, detergent placement and maintenance can all play a part.

Laundry capsule did not dissolve

Do not let residue dry or put it in the tumble dryer. Check the product instructions, load and placement. With dry hands, place a FashFresh laundry capsule directly at the bottom of the empty drum before adding laundry. The dosage on the packaging and the machine manual take precedence.

Laundry or machine smells musty

Damp laundry left in the machine, dirt around the door seal or drawer, a need for maintenance or a drainage problem may all contribute. Follow the manufacturer's maintenance programme and cleaning instructions.

Too much foam or residue

More detergent is not automatically better. Follow the dosage on the packaging and consider soil level, load and water hardness. Do not mix different cleaning products.

Dingy whites or colour transfer

Sort by colour and follow the care label. Do not heat-dry transferred colour first. Full recovery cannot be guaranteed, especially with delicate or non-colourfast textile dyes.

HOW THIS ADVICE WAS CREATED

Careful, verifiable and without guarantees

The tool identifies possible causes and safe checks. It cannot inspect a machine, diagnose a fault or determine whether a textile dye is colourfast. The product packaging, care label and machine manual therefore take precedence.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

About solving laundry problems

Can this tool diagnose a fault in my washing machine?

No. The tool can only identify possible causes and safe checks. For error codes, leaks, a burning smell, sparks, standing water or a recurring problem, consult the machine manual and, if necessary, an authorised service provider.

Should I automatically use more capsules after a poor wash result?

No. Follow the dosage on the product packaging. The appropriate amount depends on factors including load, soil level and water hardness. Overdosing can cause additional foam and residue.

Can I use vinegar, washing soda, citric acid or a dishwasher tablet?

Do not use arbitrary household products without permission from the machine manufacturer. Acids and other products may damage components, and cleaning products must not be mixed indiscriminately. Follow the maintenance advice in the manual.

What should I do if a laundry capsule has not fully dissolved?

Do not let the residue dry, and do not tumble-dry or iron the garment yet. Rinse or wash it again if the care label permits, without automatically adding extra detergent. Then check placement, load and cycle.

CAUTIOUS BY DESIGN

Helpful advice, with clear limits

A tool cannot inspect the actual textile or appliance. That is why FashFresh uses cautious rules and clearly states what remains leading.

1

The care label comes first

Always follow the complete label and test uncertain treatments in an inconspicuous area.

2

The appliance manual comes first

For faults, leakage, unusual noise, smoke or an electrical smell, stop and follow the manufacturer or service advice.

3

No result guarantee

Textiles, dyes, stains, water and machines differ. The tools give guidance, not a guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

Are all seven types of help free?

Yes. You can use every tool without an account and without an ordering step.

Do the tools replace the care label or manual?

No. The complete care label, product packaging and washing-machine manual always remain leading.

Will every result send me to a product?

No. The next step depends on the result. It may be another guide, the appliance manual, a service provider or no further action.
